Mitchell Schwartz, MD
Dr. Schwartz was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His college degree was from Temple University where he majored in chemistry and mathematics. At graduation, he received the Herbert M. Winegard Memorial Award for graduating first in his class and the Award of the American Institute of Chemists for excellence in chemistry. Dr. Schwartz received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1977. After an internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital, a major affiliate of Yale University, he completed his dermatology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Schwartz is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He has over 30 years’ experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Schwartz is on the medical staff of the University of Vermont Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery, the New England Dermatologic Society, and the Vermont Dermatology Society. He is a past president of the New Hampshire Dermatology Society. Dr. Schwartz practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in South Burlington, Vermont. For several years, he was also the director and sole injector for the Aesthetic Institute of West Florida. Because of his experience and expertise in cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Schwartz was invited to be a member of the Medical Education Faculty for Bioform Medical Corporation, makers of Radiesse, a leading facial filler. He instructs and trains other physicians how to assess the aging face and how to use injection techniques to maximize results. Due to his experience and training, Dr. Schwartz is the only physician in Vermont who can inject Sculptra Aesthetic, a new longer term anti-aging treatment for facial volume replacement.
Dr. Schwartz has appeared numerous times on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox 44 news discussing various skin related topics ranging from skin cancers and cold sore virus to sun damage and selection of sunscreens. He has also appeared on television demonstrating techniques for injecting facial fillers for rejuvenation and enhancement. cosmeceutical companies, how can a consumer distinguish the truth from the hype? Dr. Schwartz has authored numerous journal publications including recent articles in Professional Skier Magazine and Best of Burlington Magazine reviewing the damaging effects of ultraviolet light from the sun and how to select the proper sunscreen. In this bewildering climate of claims made by the various manufacturers. Additionally, either Dr. Schwartz or his staff uses every product he recommends. He and his staff are available to provide consultation and answer your specific questions either on-line or by telephone.
Phoebe Pelkey, PA-C
Phoebe Pelkey MPAS, PA-C is a physician assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She received her physician assistant certificate from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. Ms. Pelkey received a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska and an undergraduate degree from Johnson State College. She has been extensively trained in medical dermatology by Dr. Schwartz to become an extension of his excellent care. Previous to obtaining her PA certificate, Ms. Pelkey worked as a medical assistant at the Vermont Women’s Health Center and the Community Health Center. Ms. Pelkey is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, NCCPA, and continues with her medical education by attending lectures and seminars by the American Academy of Dermatology and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Phoebe is a native Vermonter, an avid snowboarder and enjoys hiking, kayaking, running and spending time with her family.

Jacqueline Fournier, PA-C
Jacqueline Fournier joined our practice last October. She is a Physician Assistant specializing in medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. She graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire, with a B.A. in Communications, then earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Norte Dame College in Manchester, New Hampshire. She has been providing dermatological care for 15 years at Dartmouth Hitchcock, Concord New Hampshire. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She enjoys many outdoors activities, yoga, and traveling.
Jane Jevons, PA-C
Jane Jevons is a physician assistant specializing in medical dermatology. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, she attended the Duke University Medical Center Physician Assistant Program where she obtained her PA degree in 1986. Jane worked in dermatology for 17 years at teaching hospitals before entering private practice dermatology. She has been providing dermatologic care in the Burlington area for 28 years. Jane lives in South Burlington with her husband and their two sons. She enjoys hiking, skiing, boating, and traveling with her family.

Bridget Giles, LE, CPE, Licensed Aesthetician
Bridget is a Licensed and Certified Professional Electrologist specializing in hair removal services. She attained her electrologist certification at the Electrology Institute of New England in Tewksbury, MA. She then went on to complete her aesthetician certification at the Salon Professional Academy in Williston, VT. Bridget has a passionate interest in skin care and permanent hair removal. Her dedication to achieving great results for her clients, coupled with her gentle touch and approach, make her a true asset to our team here at Dorset Street Dermatology.

Lauren Lisante, Cosmetic Coordinator, Licensed Aesthetician
Lauren is our Cosmetic Coordinator and licensed Aesthetician specializing in skin treatments, facials, makeup application and hair removal. She is a graduate of Bennington College with a BA in Communications and a graduate of Capri Institute in Brick, New Jersey with an Esthetics speciality. After graduating, Lauren gained experience through several jobs in the beauty industry, but she felt they did not satisfy her desire to help people feel and look better. She finally found her dream job at Dorset Street Dermatology where she could utilize all of her skills. The best part about her job is making her clients smile and helping them feel and look their best. She enjoys educating clients on getting the most out of their skin care treatments with recommended regimens for at home care based on clients’ goals. She believes that good skin care practices are important for overall health. Lauren is skilled in performing facial treatments, makeup application and is very experienced in full body waxing and can’t wait to see you for your next appointment!
